Okay, I wrote a essay for Language Arts, and I want to know what you think of it. (very long) Please help me make corrections, as it is worth a major test grade. Also, whenever I put on spell check, the word "olympics" seems like it should be capitalized. Is this true? Thanks.

If Jennie Finch wasn't participating, then the US softball team would probably not be awarded the gold medal in the 2004 summer olympics in Athens, Greece. Finch is a good role model for young girls who are trying to get their sports careers to take off, as she turned down millions of dollars to appear nude in a Playboy magazine. Ultimately, I think Jennie Finch is the perfect person to go on a stamp.
Although there have been many pitchers that have bypassed her in stats, Jennie Finch will always have a special place in our hearts. In Athens, she astonished us by striking out 13 batters in eight innings. She only let by one hit, one walk, and no runs at all. As a result, she helped lead her team to the olympic gold medal, beating the Japanese, which were a great rival and had taken the gold medal previously.
Afterward, Finch was getting a lot of attention from the press. It all started when she defeated Anna Kournikova in an ESPN online poll for the most attractive female athlete. As mentioned before, Finch was offered a lucrative contract to model nude for a Playboy magazine. She politely refused, stating that such an offer wasn't a temptation for her at all, and that she would "rather be a role model for young girls". Clearly, Jennie Finch is one girl that we will never forget.
A few years later, Finch welcomed her first son, Ace, into the world. Finch was always responsible with her decisions, and was ready for the baby. This is itself helped Finch become a great idol to look up to for girls like me.
Sadly, in the 2008 olympics in Beijing, China, the US team took the silver, behind the Japanese. What made it even more depressing is that everyone knew that there was no second chance. Prior to the olympics, the committee had decided to eliminate softball from one of the sports that were played in it. As a result, softball will not be played in the 2012 summer olympics in London, England. To mourn the loss of their beloved game, after the championship, all of the softball players left their shoes on the field (as well as the opposing team, the Japanese) to symbol the loss of their favorite game.
As we have witnessed, Jennie Finch is a fantastic softball player, and avoided becoming cocky, selfish, and self-centered in the process. She never gave into the pressure to do drugs, model nude in return for money, or let herself become frustrated over what can't be helped. Jennie Finch is one of the greatest players in softball history, and I think that she is the one player that we will truly never forget.
