Baby Food and Diaper Donations Needed The Veterans Foundation of Cape Coral, is holding a Baby Food and Diaper drive for the benefit of the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Donations accepted until July, 31. Got Rhythm? The Hot Flashz, Lee Countys premier nonprofit dance troupe, is seeking women 45 and older, who love to dance or sing. Their mission is to raise money to send seriously ill children to Floridas Camp Boggy Creek, a camp with a state-of-the-art, medically equipped, traditional campground. Practice is Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. The volunteers perform at SWFL charity fundraisers, festivals, nursing homes and private events. No experience necessary. Love That Dress! Collection Event From July-August, women can drop off new or gently used dresses and accessories at the Coconut Point Mall Management office. SmartStart4Kids Back-To-School Drive The Florida Association of Insurance Agents will launch SmartStart4Kids, a month-long, statewide back-to-school project that will collect school supplies for students in need. Summer of Support Each month through August Bell Tower joins a local nonprofit organization. Christmas in July July 24-25, Anthonys on the Blvd. partners with Toys For Tots to collect new and unwrapped toys for needy children in the community at Christmas time. The restaurant serves their Best breakfast buffet Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa will visit with guests from 9 a.m. to noon. The Area Agency on Aging whose mission is to help aging adults achieve independence through awareness of resources and access to qualified service providers is in need of volunteers. RSVP of Lee County is looking for volunteers 55 and older to assist the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida. They are seeking adult volunteers with a passion to make an impact in the lives of young girls.
