Pal: Why Kim Kardashian Is Suing Old Navy

Yesterday, we told you of how reality star Kim Kardashian is suing Old Navy and parent company, Gap, over a lookalike ad for the brand that possibly confused fans. Kim claimed that the clothing company was violating her publicity rights by using someone in advertisements that looks just like her.

Now, a friend of Kims is dishing the dirt on what prompted the lawsuit. Is it Kims need for someone else to foot the bill for her huuuuuuuuuge wedding? Or could it be because Kim has to finance her next butt pads purchase?

A pal of Kims told about the reasoning behind the lawsuit. She said, Shes protecting her brand. She cant let another brand use her image to sell clothes!

Kims ex-boyfriend, Reggie Bush, doesnt seem to mind dating the lookalike, Melissa Molinaro. Ha! She cant sue him for that, though.

The insider went on to reveal, Shes a businesswoman who has to protect her brand. Bottom line.
