Nursing home celebrates its CNAs with special activities - St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Benchmark Healthcare of Wildwood, formerly Wildwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, hosted a week's worth of activities during National CNA Week to show appreciation to the center's certified nursing assistants.

Staff, residents and family members all participated in a week of "themed days" from June 16-23. Themes included "Favorite Celebrity Day," "Western Day" and "'80s Day." The festivities included costumes, gifts, games and prizes, and were open to all who wanted to participate.

"It was a fun week," said Michele Dietrich, director of community relations, "But I'd have to say that '80s Day was the biggest hit. People brought in memorabilia and items associated with '80s culture, and the costumes made for a lot of laughs."

The center's CNAs are Monica Neal, Christina Guerrero, Jenny Phillips, Simone Porter, Shirley Roy, Donna Bruns, Cindy Mercurio, John Robinson, Edward Wade, Catina Misch, Tara Jenkins, Kimberly King, Donna McPherson, Ashley Martin, Tefphanie Grahm, Darcell Suggs, James Macharia, Christina Cox, Nancy Decker, George Paige, Michele Todd and Jacquey Summers.
