It may have only been three months since his daughter's tragic death, but Mitch Winehouse is planning to write a book which will be a memoir of Amy.

Taxi driver, Mitch has defended his decision stating that proceeds from the publication will go to the charity that has been set up in the singer's name.

Taking to his Twitter account early this morning, Mitch revealed that the book won't be released until July next year and said it will help '000's of kids.'

He also explained his reasons behind penning the autobiography saying: 'I also need to write the book as a part of my recovery. For those people that don't like it. Tough! Mitch.'

A deal has been signed with publisher HarperCollins who have described the book as a 'heartfelt and revelatory memoir.'

Obviously predicting negative criticism, Mitch went on to say: 'Let me remind you. ALL profits to the foundation. Do you know how many kids will benefit form that money? Mitch.'

The Amy Winehouse foundation was officially launched last month on what would have been the singer's 28th birthday.

'The plan is to help all children - not just rehabilitation, not just substance abuse. It's to help all children in need,' Mitch said back in August.

Soon after Amy's death, he gave evidence to the Commons home affairs committee's inquiry into the cocaine trade and voiced his opinion on how treatment for drug addicts should be improved.

Mitch also planned to highlight the gulf between celebrities who can afford to go to The Priory and people who cannot get help because of the one-year NHS waiting list.

'All proceeds from the book will go directly to help children who are disadvantaged through illness and substance addiction,' he added.

The highly anticipated book is said to bring 'the many layers of her life together - the personal, the private and the public.'

Amy was found dead in her North London home on July 23.
